Hello, can you hear me? I was one of the first settlers on Mars. I lived there for one year, and it was the most unforgettable year of my life.
When I first arrived, everything looked red, silent, and empty. The first week was scary. I felt completely alone. The strange red dust covered everything, and the cold wind made a weird whistling sound around my small metal house. I missed Earth, my family, and even the sound of birds.
But in the second week, something interesting happened. One morning, I heard small metal footsteps outside my base. When I opened the door, I saw a robot dog. It had shiny silver legs, blue lights for eyes, and an antenna tail. It looked at me and said, “I need your help.”
Of course, I was shocked. A talking robot dog? On Mars? But I followed it. We walked for about ten minutes, and then I saw something lying on the ground. It was a strange creature — tall, thin, and greenish-blue. An alien.
I didn’t know what to do. I was afraid, but the robot dog barked and looked at me like it trusted me. So I helped the alien. I gave it water and wrapped it in my emergency blanket. After a few minutes, it opened its eyes.
I stepped back, ready to run, but it smiled. Its smile was warm and friendly. It didn’t speak English, but it made soft sounds and pointed at its heart, then at me — like saying “thank you.”
After that day, everything changed. The alien came to visit me often. We couldn’t talk with words, but we understood each other. We played games, drew pictures in the red dust, and even built a small tower out of Mars rocks. The robot dog stayed with us, always watching, always protecting.
I wasn’t lonely anymore.
Weeks passed. I learned that the alien liked music. So I played songs from Earth on my tablet. It loved them — especially classical music. When I played Beethoven, it closed its eyes and moved its hands like it was dancing in slow motion.
One day, the alien showed me something amazing — its home. Under the surface of Mars, there was a hidden cave filled with glowing blue crystals. It was beautiful. We sat there together and watched the lights dance on the walls.
But time moves fast when you are happy. After one year, my mission ended. I had to return to Earth. I packed my things with a heavy heart. The alien didn’t speak, but I knew it understood I was leaving. It touched its heart, then touched my hand.
When I entered the spaceship, I looked back. The alien and the robot dog were standing together, waving goodbye.
Now I’m back on Earth. My life is comfortable again, but sometimes, when I close my eyes, I remember the red dunes, the glowing cave, and my friend who lives under the Martian ground.
I still wonder…
Is the alien watching the stars right now, thinking about me too?
