I’ll never forget that day last summer. I had run to the beach early in the morning. The sand made a soft crunch under my feet, and the waves acted like playful friends, rushing toward me and then shyly pulling back.
I was carrying a small bucket. I collected the seashells the waves left behind and filled my own little treasure box. One of them was so shiny that it sparkled like a tiny star under the sun. Finding it made me feel like a real explorer.
In the afternoon, my friends and I had a melting ice cream race. We laughed so hard watching whose ice cream would melt the fastest. Mine melted so quickly that it dripped down my wrist before I even took two bites.
But the most magical moment came in the evening. As the sun set, the sky turned pink, orange, and purple. I sat on the sand and watched the sea quietly. I remember thinking, “I wish this day would never end.”
What stayed with me from that vacation wasn’t just the photos. There was my shell collection, the sticky sweetness of melted ice cream, and the peaceful feeling that sunset left in my heart. Even now, thinking about it brings a big smile to my face.
The End
