The jar contained a very large seed. Other than its size, there was nothing unusual about it. However, the label on the jar warned, “This seed should never, ever be planted.” Tom’s mom said he was a naughty child, like many other children, but he tried to listen to her. That night, when Tom went to bed, he dreamed about everything that had happened that day. But in his dream, he didn’t say “OK” to his mom. Instead, he decided to plant the seed in the garden. When he woke up, he thought, “Nothing bad will happen if I plant it.”
At school, he didn’t tell anyone except his best friend. But when he told his friend, the friend said that he had the same dream — about them planting the seed! So they decided to go to an old garden that nobody visited. After school, Tom went there and planted the seed. Nothing happened. When he got home, he asked his mom about it. She smiled and said, “The seed isn’t special. I just wanted to test you — to see if you would listen to me. ”Tom felt sad, but he promised that he would always listen to his mother from then on. The End.
