It was a Sunday, about mid-morning. As I walked along the beach, I could feel the roughness of the sand against my toes. In the distance, I saw something on the wet sand ahead of me. I started to walk a little faster toward it. As I got closer, I was sure I saw it move. I knelt down beside it to get a better look. The poor creature before me clearly needed help. I decided to take a closer look—but something felt dangerous. I was scared. I didn’t know what it was. Wow. This object was bright, too. But it was also strange and possibly dangerous. Still, I said to myself, “I can do it. I can take this.” It looked like a little star—but it wasn’t a starfish. I put it in a jar. The star was still moving. Now I was home. My home felt safe. I placed the jar in the kitchen. The star moved again. That night, I woke up at 3 o’clock. I heard strange sounds coming from the first floor—from the kitchen. I rushed downstairs. The jar was gone. I was afraid. What was that? The star had grown bigger. Oh no! Again, I woke up at 3 o’clock. But this time, the sound was even louder. I went to the kitchen again. But what I saw shocked me. There was an alien. It was shiny, ugly, green, and frightening. The star was an alien! I ran as fast as I could. Outside, the weather was snowy. I only had a jacket, and I quickly put it on. The alien was in the garden. The garden was dark and scary. I picked up a rock and threw it at the alien. Suddenly, the alien became tiny—just like before. It turned back into a little star. I took it and threw it deep into the sea. Now, nobody can ever take that star again.
