The thing is shining. I’m walking quickly now. I’m near the thing. I think it is an egg, but this egg is big—bigger than a chicken egg but smaller than an ostrich egg. I don’t remember seeing an egg like this before. Oh! Something is coming out of the egg! Mmm… Aha! Now I know—it’s an octopus! It’s very cute. I say: “Oh! Hi! You are very cute. You are red and yellow. I love these colors. I love you, octopus.” Then I hear a voice. “Hi. Great! You are smart. You know who I am!” I’m frozen. I don’t understand how the octopus can speak. I’m shocked. I say:
“You can talk? You are just a baby, but you can speak!”
The octopus says:
“Yeah! I can speak. Shall we be friends?”
I say, “Okay! Let’s be friends.”
The octopus and I became good friends. He is brave, strong, and funny. He even saved me from falling down. I think he is a great friend.
