My uncle is an inventor. One day, I was searching through the attic of my uncle’s house when I found a very strange machine with many buttons and cables. I had never seen a machine like this before. I saw a button, pressed it, and when I blinked and opened my eyes, I was somewhere I didn’t know. I started to walk, but I couldn’t see anyone to help me. I shouted:
Hey, uncle, are you kidding?
There was silence. I was feeling nervous, but I tried to stay calm. I looked around and suddenly fell down. I woke up in a weird bed. My mom was sitting near me. When she saw that I had woken up, she was very happy and cried with joy. I asked her why she was crying. Then she answered:
You were asleep for a year. I thought you had died, but your heart was still beating. I took you to a doctor, and he said, ‘He has an interesting illness, but it’s not dangerous or long-lasting. I think he will be fine.’
I was confused because of the strange machine I had seen. But after a month, I forgot all about the weird things. One day, we visited my uncle, and he wanted to show me his attic. We went there, and I saw the machine. It didn’t look strange…
