My uncle is an inventor. One day, I was searching through the attic of my uncle’s house. I found a very strange machine with many buttons and cables. I had never seen a machine like this before. I saw a button and pushed it. Suddenly, I was teleported to the past. Seagulls were flying, and the water was frothing. I asked a man, “Where am I?” He said, “We are in Constantinople in 1453. Fatih Sultan Mehmed started the war 53 days ago. Today, we will take Constantinople. Prophet Muhammad said that the soldier who conquers Constantinople will be a great soldier.” I tried to understand what was happening. We were really in 1453, in Constantinople. Then I walked around the streets. I didn’t see a man coming, and we collided. He was Fatih Sultan Mehmed! I felt very happy. The Sultan was walking with his soldiers. They were going towards the Byzantine soldiers. At that moment, they were fighting with swords, cannonballs, and arrows. The Sultan’s soldiers tried to climb the castle walls, but the Byzantine soldiers stopped them. After that, cannonballs hit the walls, and they started to break. Six or seven hours later, the Byzantines lost the war, and the Sultan’s soldiers won. I asked a man how I could go back home. He said, “Take this, close your eyes, and say, ‘I want to go back home.’” I did that, and everything turned into a white light. When I opened my eyes, I was back at home. My uncle was looking at me. I explained my journey to him. He said, “Don’t do that again.” I just said, “OK.” It was a very exciting journey, and I will never forget it.
